Hi, I'm Claudette. I started this site because I spent too many weekends driving around Austin trying to find the right couch. After years of visiting showrooms on Burnet Road, digging through vintage shops on South Congress, and hauling used furniture from estate sales in Travis Heights, I figured I might as well write it all down.

Austin Furniture Guide is a local resource. Every store I mention, I've walked through. Every neighborhood tip comes from actually living here and buying furniture here. I focus on what matters when you're furnishing a home in Austin: which stores are worth the drive, what materials survive the heat, where to find quality without overpaying, and how to get the thing through your front door.
